The Best of Bergen and Fjords
This tour allows you to see the top locations in Bergen and the beautiful fjords outside the city. Within 4-5 hours, you will learn about the history of Bergen and its nowadays life. We start by driving through the city center. After we leave the city centre, our main focus will be the beautiful fjord views. We will stop at four locations to enjoy the fjord views, and we will also take a ferry across one of the fjords.

What To Expect
Bergen
Our tour starts in the city of Bergen – the Gateway to the Fjords. The city was founded in 1070 and contains many historical and cultural landmarks. We will see its major sights on our drive through the city center.
Gamle Haugen
We stop at the royal residence and have a short walk to the villa to enjoy the view into the park and the fjord.
Gamle Bergen
This open-air museum is located in a quiet place close to a fjord. We will enjoy its atmosphere by a short walk to the viewpoint. We will see the outdoor part of the museum, however we will skip visiting the indoor exposition.
Osterøy Municipality
Sørfjorden or the Southern fjord is part of the Osterfjord which is a peculiar natural phenomenon: a saltwater inlet that surrounds the largest inland island in Northern Europe – Osterøy Island – enclosed by continental land. We drive along the Southern fjord until we cross it on Osterøybrua bridge. We will stop at the end of the bridge to enjoy the view.
Havråtunet
We will stop at the open-air museum Havråtunet and have a short walk up to the old wooden houses. From there, we will have a great view of the fjord below us. We will also see how Norwegian mountain farms looked like in the past.
Ole Bulls villa in Valestrandfossen
On the way to the ferry, we will see the villa of the violin player Ole Bull. Our guide will tell you about the life of this outstanding musician.
Ferry Valestrand – Breistein
Our journey continues in a typical western-Norwegian way by using one of the many ferries that enable the Norwegians to travel more efficiently.
Return to Bergen
From Breistein we drive back to Bergen city center.
